Pyreness Range SF is right next to Avoca, 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne.
Pyreness Range has some unique terrain you can't find in other places in Victoria. It has some very steep rock hill climb, creek crossing and spectacular view from Governor Rock Lookout.
Of course, it has one of the toughest iconic tracks in Victoria, Old Bluff Track.
Last year I ran my first trip to Pyreness Range and we came down Old Bluff Track easy section.

Sat (22 Aug)
On Sat, we will start at Old Bluff Track. It has 3 sub-tracks to choose from. They are Medium, Hard and Extreme. We will try all of them depending on the weather, 4wd setup and track conditions. We will also have a small game to test your driving skills and 4wd capability.

Medium Track (1 point), Hard Track (2 points), Extreme Track (3 points)

Each car will select the tracks they want to drive.

Each car can drive multiple tracks (e.g. You earn 5 point if you drive both Hard and Extreme)

0.5 points will be deducted for each winching or recovery

We will calculate the total points of each car and each group (Jeeps, LC and Patrols)
It's cold at Pyreness Range, we will setup a camp fire at night. Bring your own food and drink. Kids are welcome if you feel comfortable and safe taking them to hard tracks.
Sunday (23 Aug)
We will spend the rest of the weekend exploring the area, check out and tackle some of the best tracks it can offer.
This trip is only for experienced 4wders with well setup 4wd. The following requirements have to be met to join this trip.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT bring along extra vehicles. We will not accept any 4wds that are not in the JOIN list.
