After a great trip last weekend, plan is to head back & complete some of the tracks in the southern end of Tallarook that we did not get to.
Most of the tracks planned for the day would be rated 'medium', but there are a couple of tracks I am hoping to get to that will be difficult, so that is why I am rating this trip as 'medium/hard'. If it is wet, most will finish up being hard on the day. Again, whilst muddies are preferred, A/T's in good condition should be ok. Same goes for winches, preferred but not mandatory, UNLESS YOU ARE RUNNING A/T TYRES.
Just to make this crystal clear; any vehicle attending this trip running A/T tyres MUST have a winch in good working order.
Also, ALL vehicles must have at least basic recovery gear; snatch strap, shackles, gloves etc.
Again, plan is to have an enjoyable day out without any pressure on anyone to try any track or tracks that they do not feel comfortable in driving. Please be self sufficent, ie bring your lunch, drinks, toilet paper etc, as the only toilets are at Freemans Campground & we may not even pass there on the day.
Latest forecast is wet weather for at least the next 5 days, so hopefully we will not have much dust, even though many parts of Tallarook tend to dry out quite quickly.
PS: I have meeting time at 10.00am but would appreciate everyone arriving by 9.45am at the latest for introductions, drivers briefing and to 'air down'. Plan is to be back on the bitumen between 4 and 5 pm.
