Wanting to head out this friday for a day trip Anyone keen?????... thinking of doing "trek 18 3rd edition 4wd treks close to melbourne" Not to far from king lake.. the trek starts at pheasant creek head upto mt robinson and then back through kinglake national park. Hit me up if anyone is interested in tagging along!

Hi Anthony,

My friends and I just did this track about 8 weeks ago.
We attempted Battery Spur about a year prior and failed to scale it due to our inexperience then. It seems like it has been graded since.

As you travel up on Mt Robertson Rd towards Battery Spur, when you pass Arthurs Rd on your left, there is a narrow track that diverges and re combines to Mt Robertson Rd. That section was fun. A bit of mud, rut and a steep hill.

There is also a section called Little Boggy Creek Track which has hairy going down ending up in boghole paradise at the bottom. Not sure if you are game for that. But if it's more than two cars it's pretty safe. Has been wet lately so it should be fun. My car was sliding around on the way down that slope. I had vowed to get muddies since and now I am waiting for them.
