Going to be running a snow trip for those keen for a weekend camping and wheeling and seeing bit of snow. I am going to be heading up Friday afternoon and camping at Skipworth reserve (From Jamieson: South 7.5k on the Mansfield-Woods Point Rd [C511], signposted on the left). You can either come up Friday night and camp or meet us at 8.30 am Saturday morning. Basic plan is to head up Mt Terrible chasing the snow then from there head to Mt Matlock, down into Woods Point for maybe a meal at the pub or continue on to Mt Selma. All depending on time of course. From there we will try to find a camp for the night. Sunday's plan roughly is to head over to Mt Useful then down into the township of Walhalla hopefully by around lunch time arriving at the pub for a meal for those who want to stay or we can head home from there. I will be rating the trip at medium, just please note the snow can sometimes present more challenges than normal so for that, a good set of AT tyres is a minimum and a working winch is a must. Also ensure you bring your own recovery gear.
