Heading to Portland in the south west corner for the Easter long weekend. This is a family orientated trip so please bring the wife and kids. We will basing ourselves at Portland Holiday Village (http://www.holidayvillage.com.au/pchv/pchv.html ) where they have a wide variety of accommodation to suit everyone's needs and budget. You each will need to book your own accommodation as soon as possible to avoid disappointment over the long weekend period.

Day 1 - Apr 3 (Friday)

Meet and Greet at Portland Holiday Park
If you are heading to Portland on Friday morning, you can meet others at BP servo @ Little River (Geelong bond) (8:30am). Dave (disco), he will be in his 4WDTRIP Land Rover leading the Friday group (Ch 38). Some will head to Portland on Thur night.
Day 2 - Apr 4 (Sat)
We aim at early start and break camp at 8am. From our base camp in Portland we'll be venturing out to Carpenter Rocks in SA for some sand dune/beach driving which is 2 hours away.
From Carpenter Rock, we will airdown and tackle some of the best beach/sand dune driving SA can offer. We will head north and enter Canunda National Park. The whole track is about 40km, I expect it will take a good 6 hours to finish as there will be frequent stopping for photo shot and lunch. Our goal is to arrive Millicent (SA) and head back to camp.
Be perpared it will be a long day and expect to be back at camp late.
Day 3 - Apr 5 (Sun)
Visit Princess Margert Rose Caves (http://www.princessmargaretrosecave.com/), touring through Glenelg NP. We will also spend a bit of time hunting around the local township at the historic sites and major shipping port.
Day 4 - Apr 6 (Mon)
It will be your own time. Some may head back to Melbourne.
