This is a second introductory and flexible offroading trip at Dissa for those looking at exploring 4wd tracks in the outskirts of Melbourne CBD. Dissa can be fun with a little bit of rain. Recommended items to bring:
Wet weather gear
Deflator and inflator if you have any
Recovery gear if you have any
Radio comms
Lunch and water
Toiletries as per personal preference

What is the minimum requirements for this trip Lawrence? I'd be taking the chicken tracks for bog holes tho.

Last time I was up Dissa, it didn't end up too well for me (was driving another car than what I'm driving now).

What kinda tracks are you planning? Quite a few hard tracks around there.

Hi bro good to see you can make it. I would say a compressor and knowing your vehicle recovery points, and a working 2 way radio.

Am not planning of doing anything extreme such as rock crawling, deep mudholes etc. Having said that weather can make an ordinary track turn extraordinary dangerous....we will assess the situation and adapt accordingly.

Hi guys. Can't make this one as working. But Lawrence is a great trip leader!! Very aware of track conditions and peoples abilities. Did this with him a couple of weeks ago and had a great day out. Looking forward to getting out with him again.

Hi Dylan there are several tracks that requires low range and to answer your question yes these tracks are technical due to various factors such as offroad experience, vehicle set up, weather, gradient etc. This trip is designed to be a fun trip, know your 4 wheeler capabilities, build your capabilities, finish the trip with no damages to your vehicle. Just a disclaimer offroading has inherent risks and beside the best preparation damage can still occur to your vehicle or and self. Understanding the above factots helps you reduce the risks. Sorry for the long winded answer but I hope this will help others.

Lawrence many thanks for leading this trip. It was a great opportunity to meet nice people and build in my 4wd knowledge. My friends (first timers) and I enjoyed every bit of the trip... even when the car got bugged in the water hole and we needed a winch to get out.

In regards to the radio I think my hand held was interfering with the CB radio.
