It never left. I got some medical issues mate I have to take things a lot easier...... So the Ranger mate you do Know it can pull shite off a blanket don't you? Can I assume you plan to tow the van into Knockwood with the Ranger for your trip? I also heard that Disco Matt upgraded..... makes me wonder are you guys planning a long trip again?

The radiator SAGA ? Sheeeeesh !

So after removing it (Tuesday morning) the guy rings me and says it starting to let go in several spots. I could repair it but in 2 years it will start leaking again.
Me: OK, how much for a new one
Him: Runs through the options blah blah blah
Me: I go for the same as what's in it now, 3 row copper brass, don't need 4 row.
Him, rings me Tuesday arvo, all done.
Me- I drive a mate to drive down there in the racing Camry, new rad looks good, I throw my mate the 80 keys, here you drive it home, I'll follow in the racing Camry.

We get home, he says "ITS MAKING A FUNNY NOISE IN FIRST"
WTF ?

So I go for a spin, pull out he driveway and bbbzzzzztttt. FARK, the fan shroud is rubbing on the fan.

New rad SLIGHTLY moved the shroud relative to the engine FFS

So ring the guy back, drop the car off yesterday and he rings me back at 5.00pm last night, all fixed. So I'm going to get it in 20 minutes and hope the SAGA is all over. I need to get in low range and grunt up a hill to make sure there's enough clearance in low range now. Sort of over it.

Like Alex, can vouch for the area and 'Big Kev'. I guess it is reasonably short notice for a couple of nights away, especially taking in weekdays, as alot of people tend to return to work on Monday the 15th.

Good to see the radiator is fixed Alex.

PS: Did you guys notice Matt (Outrage) has put up a report of our HC trip. I will add pics/videos to it over the next few days.

Ended up modifying the shroud myself see if there’s enough fan tip to shroud clearance next time I get a good low range hill to torque the engine over. Fitted a new fan hub (Rodeo/Frontera V6) while I was in there and made my own spanners to stop the fan hub turning when you tighten the bolts yaay
