George (Georgie_Kyro) Without sounding like a know it all douche amd
with all due respect to the range rover and ranger drivers in the above vid, i would hope that they earnt some serious lessons after being out on that trip. There were so many things that i found went wrong and both are very lucky to of gotten out of that one as well as they did.
I would have bought a lottery ticket ;)
If the ranger driver is here in this thread (i think he is) i think the biggest problem for himself was the wheel lift.
As soon as that front went up you kinda got a little worried and stopped yourself in your tracks.
99% of the time a wheel up situation is most probably the "worst part" of the line you are taking...
If you had stuck with that perfect momentum you had and not stopped you would have made it.
Unfortunately and believe me we have all fallen victim to this, stopping at that situation is putting you in the worst predicament as you are now stuck at the worst part of the line where you get wheel lift.
It then caused you to roll a little backwards before the peak/wheel lift, and then further once the clutch and throttle and handbrake scenario didnt work out for you...
The more you get to trust your rig and yourself the better you will become.
Next time you get a little bit of wheel lift rather than stopping try riding it through with controlled momentum and see what happens.
Chances are you'll get yourself into a safer position on the track amd most probably of kept going to the top
Better luck next pal ;)
