trip itinerary and return date and time?

Heading home Sunday lunchtime and as for itinerary no set plans, it's a very small state forest so will most likely drive most of it

I'm just trying to decide how much camping gear to bring... are we setting up camp first and then going driving or will we drive with gear on us and find a spot at the end of the day?

If we drive first, then I'll just bring minimal so it's not weighing me down too much.

It's up to you mate. Will probably be camping at the meeting spot or very near by so can set up a spot when we meet up.

Bugger. Sounds like it might be time for a new mechanic mate.

Guys I have a problem, I have major dramas with my front end, started off as a slight clunk at full lock on Tuesday, went to the mechanic today with no fix so have pulled the hubs off to have a look. Now after 15000km I will need to rebuild the front knuckles again and mabee up for a new diff. Unfortunately I won't be making this trip. I feal like a prick but I have no car. In saying this I'm happy for someone to takeover. I have maps on my iPad of the area (offline gps so will follow where you are) and am happy to lend it out of someone wants to lead, I'm in wheelers hill if anyone's coming past to pick it up. Can also put waypoints on tracks. It's a very small state park so you can't get lost. I'm hoping someone can take over as leader. Is anyone happy to take over as leader?

do you want to jump in the car with someone else? I'd offer but am already full with fam.

Unfortunately not, have to pull the front diff out and hope it's ok and then rebuild the swivel hubs as I need the car for work

If someone can lead that would be great, as I said maps and routes will be provided, if not I'm going to have to cancel this trip tomorrow morning

Hi guys, Tony, myself and a friend are still heading up. Tony will only be with the group on the Sunday and is happy to lead a trip on that day. He is the only one of the three of us that knows the area. My friend John and I will still go for a drive on Saturday but we will be exploring with no idea of the tracks we are going to do. All welcome to join in with us. We plan to meet at Moonambel Reserve at 9:30am on Saturday morning, will stay in the same place on Saturday night. Tony will lead a trip on Sunday going for some of the harder tracks.

Antony, I won't be able to get to where you are to collect maps etc but if you have a list of the tracks you planned to do I can work it out on my tablet so we can come up with a rough plan for the Saturday.

Gents,

I'll be heading up to the area tonight and will return to Melb Saturday night. I'm happy to lead the group tomorrow, then our friend Tony can lead on Sunday.

So seems like the trip is still a go ahead :D

Antony, are you using Hema on your ipad? I'm already in the city and rather not come back to the east. Are you able to send me screenshots of the routs and ill input them on my ipad Hema.

Thanks mate, yer will send screenshots tonight. As I said the place is tiny, will screen shot a map of the whole park and tell you what area is good, then smaller shots of tracks. Once again my apologies I'm just glad the trip is still going ahead

Uploaded a screenshot of what I had planned on Saturday. Had to do it off my phone but it's of the north east end of the state Forrest, close to Avoca. The campsite at the bottom is glenpatrick and the tracks are Fraser, old bluff, old tiger cat, slate mine and there are more tracks north of slate mine that are good. Recommend old bluff track, do this east to west and also old tiger cat which you do south to north. Anyway guys have a good trip
