Camp at Dargo Friday night. Behind the pub near the river. If you cant make it Friday night aim at leaving the pub Saturday morning no later than 9. 

Crooked river track with its 24 river crossings to Talbotville. little bit of sight seeing and mining history along the way.



Cut across the Wonnangatta River to the infamous Billy Goat Bluff track. Up to Pinnacles for a look and then Camp at Horseyard Flat Saturday night.

Sunday take Valencia Creek track south and onto Marathon.

Down into Briagalong / Valencia Creek area and dispatch from there



 



I will be taking Friday off work, and going up earlier (leaving Stratford about 10AM) 



Going to check a few tracks north of Dargo and then head back into town in the afternoon. 



Feel free to join on this "pre trip" if you can get friday off. Otherwise the official trip starts Saturday morning.

Hi Dan,
Not sure if I can make Friday. But Saturday with a red eye start for me. would you know how many km's will be covered? As a Jeep driver it's always good to know if xtra fuel is needed.

Not sure on exact km. If u brimmed the the tank at Dargo then most stock fuel tanks will do the whole trip easy.
Ive got gas as well so dual tanks. And i wont bother taking any jerrys this trip. If your worried just chuck in a 20lt jerry.

Stratford bp open till 9 every night. Ill be set up camp behind the dargo pub. If u cant find me, try the bar.
Also might have dinner there as well. Ive never had a meal there so might be a good opportunity.

Ill be there. Behind the pub. You have to go through a gate. But im not there yet. Doing murdering spur track. Might be couple hours yet. Its perfect up here right now. Weather is spot on.

Anyone staying tonight, call into the pub first and give some details to the publican. They need to know who will b camping in their paddock.
Also there are sheep in the paddock so make sure the gate is closed!
