Mt Sunday/Barkley river jeep track night run HARD

Changed to a night run, make it a bit more interesting. Will leave wrens flat by 6 so get there a little earlier if planning to cook dinner. Plan on doing mt Sunday and Barkley river jeep track. Rest of the trip will depend on how long it takes to do mt Sunday. Everyone should have a winch in good working condition, full recovery kit, minimum 2" lift and min 33" aggressive all terrains, and at least one diff lock or good working traction control.

I would LOVE to do Jeep Tk! Sadly I've got Bunyip the week beforehand and Tallarook the week after this so unless I have a win on the lottery I need to conserve funds a little. Will look forward to the trip report and any photos and videos.

I wanna come but I said I wouldn't do Mt Sunday until my beadlocks were on, then I'm going to run a trip up through there. Have fun gents. I might still change my mind.

The 2 tracks he has mentioned in his trip title were in my top ten tracks in the thread Kelvin posted earlier in the week. They aint for the faint hearted and if going to be done at night youd wanna ensure you're confident in yourself and your vehicle.

We hit them up last time in summer amf they were definitely a difficult graded trip.

With the rain we've had of late they may be harder so may involve a bit of winching even if twin locked

Shame you didnt get a few more takers Antony. Barkley River Jeep Tk has always been on my 'must attempt' list, but not at night for the 1st time. Penny 'big tits' from Top Of Downunder had a series of the Vic HC recently and showed her driving the track with a twin locked Cruiser that she had to winch a section or two.

Maybe you should speak to Mark (Yarra Ranger) about his trip if yours doesnt go ahead that weekend.

To be honest I'm not that fussed, have nearly 10 days up in the high country so a little rest and some work wouldn't hurt, plus the car needs a little tlc. My brothers doing the trip up butcher country so might join them if I get an itch. Saw that video to, hardest part is a few rocks at the start, after that it's pretty smooth sailing.
