Deep creek 1 at night. You guys are clearly very well set up or crazy. I believe they did grade it but still that ledge is a real challenge. I won't be going near it on our gf weekend trip.

Ok so after watching this video i have come to the conclusion that i will be removing the roof top tent and throwing a swag in the back considering its a 1 nighter, also main reason is lower centre of gravity and by the looks of things in this video it is probably the safer option...

The wife to be (get married on December 26th) isnt really fond of my rig or 4wding as she thinks thats all i do and talk about.
Fortunately for me I keep finding really really really good deals that i cant pass up cough cough* like when i bought the legacy series 60 litre engel , dropped it off to my mates place and told him to message me at 8pm whilst sitting on the couch with the mrs and tell me that his dad that works at engel has a fridge for sale for $500 bux .<<<<<------ Too good to pass up right ? lol

As for the rig yeah kinda obsessed with her as shes my pride and joy, So i always look forward to my next day or weekend out. I know it aint a patrol or cruiser but she does me wonders for now and have to admit for a triton does ok.

I bought her originally as a work rig but the more i spent on her the less i stopped wanting to use it for work.

May have to tea up a meet some time so i can head out with you soon.

Unfortunately guys they have shut off the intersection of deep creek 1,4 and 2. Just spoke to dse and they can't tell me when it will be opened so looks like we will have to give the deep creeks a miss

Did they give the reason why Antony?. There had been talk of making 1 & 4 seasonal closures along with a rumour or two of closing No.1 permanently but nothing eventuated.

Well signs on the track say tree felling but speaking to dse they said they have had a few incidents recently (car catching fire and another one rolling) and they have deemed the tracks unsafe and are waiting on funds to fix the tracks. Am a bit confused though because it is only closed on bins rd end, can still drive 1 and 4 just can't get through the intersection

Well that sucks a bit , still looking forward to getting out at night ,I don't do it much ,and also some good company around the camp fire, the stories and banter always sends my of to bed feeling better for the experience ,especially when Anthony starts talking about his secret love of all things Jeep.

Big Al, has always been an issue with the Deep Creek tracks. Has been numerous recoveries as well as the odd roll over and they did close it for awhile, but as usual, those in charge did not make it public knowledge. Rudi Polletti advised of the closure some time ago on various forums, but as there was no signs or gates, people continued to go there. Was the same after the big fires went through; whole areas was closed but due to lack of information people continued to go up there.

Fingers crossed, it will be re opened when you guys go up there; can tell you from previous experience that driving Deep Creek 1 in the dark is 'character building'.

Nick, For starters, you really need to sort out that modification list on your vehicle profile, these people may think youre mental after viewing it with the claims you have made above!
As for the car Im glad to hear youve got it back and I look forward to the day we can actually head out in them together rather than always have one getting modified whist the other rides shotgun.
This morning I had a dream.... I never remember my dreams, I remember dreaming that my gears got here from South Africa today, so when i got your message this morning saying they were in your back seat you could just imagine how over the moon i was. Apparently the gear box and transfer are out and you will be working your magic on them tomorrow, so i look forward to getting my car back when that and the new rear suspension has been sorted.

Hi George, I have replaced the entire suspension in the GQ with a 3" lift, dobinson springs, fox shocks and superior engineering radius arms with drop boxes and the correct upper and lower superior engineering control arms to suit.
This will be the first time 4wding since I replaced it all, so I'm kind of exited :D

Within the last 4 weeks i have slapped in the twin lockers,compressor, rear sussy, diff drop and uca's and reduction gears.
On the bright side, these are things the mrs wouldnt even notice.
