One hell of a trip at Mt Cole
A few weeks ago, we ventured to a 4wd destination that was new to all in the group - Mt Cole.
Mt Cole is situated in Central West Victoria, about 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne. It was one of those ‘secret’ spots that not too many have h
eard of. Well, that already got us excited when we knew little about it.
And it turned out to be an unforgettable adventure with mishaps aplenty and tracks that will have us going back to explore more and more of this amazing location in the years to come!

Another tour of Tallarook
"... After airing down we headed off to the 1st couple of tracks to 'warm up' before arriving at the top of Phone Track. Only 3 of the group, Matt, Gazza & Peter were prepared to give it a go, so as they headed around to the beginning of the track, the rest of us took up vantage points for photos and video footage. Matt was 1st and after the Disco did some 'bonding' with a few rocks...sad, he arrived at the steep section and got a fair way up before he 'bellied out' and required a winch for a few metres then drove the rest of the way...."

You can now easily see the trip history of a member. Simply go to their Profile and click "My Trips" tab. You can also see a quick snapshot of their trip summary (# of Trip Posted and Trip Joined).

Many times we were asked how they can find out if a trip leader is a new trip leader or an experienced trip leader. As a result, we have just introduced Trip Leader Badge to give you a good indication how many trips a trip leaders have successfully run in the past.

Mr Mods
Terry from Mr Mods has shown us what it is all about when helping our fellow 4wders. On our Mt Cole trip, one of our 4wds suffered a major mechanical issue with a bent steering link. Despite the fact that we rang up multiple wreckers and dealers with no parts available, we turned to “Mr Mods, the only number you call when all hope is lost.”.
Terry was able to source a complete rack assembly (for an FJ Cruiser we might add, so parts aren’t going to be easy to find on a Saturday afternoon!) and delivered it out to the group who were stranded on top of a mountain after 4.5 hours of winching. A huge effort from Terry driving the round trip from Boronia to Mt Cole. Much thanks indeed!
Without Terry the day would’ve gone from painful to disastrous.
