Well it now looks like the high country north of Dargo will be closed now earlier than expected for the season. It appears that some of the area is

still burning, I dont see anything opening now until September.

What are others thoughts?

Whilst the big fires around Licola & Dargo are contained, there is still alot of work to do to ensure safety to those who wish to visit the fire effected areas. Many areas are going to remain closed over the school hollies/easter period, which will have a major impact on some of the townships that rely on us 4wders to help bring in the $$$.

I suspect many tracks/camping areas will remain closed until November.

In the latest update, more tracks have now been closed in VHC. These now include Macalister River Tk, Butcher Country, Dingo Hill & Caledonia Tks to name a few.
