Good idea to do that if you haven't been out to that corner before.
Be a nice overnighter, but loads of company as many will do a desert crossing (before or) after the bash.

Have you done the bash or Simpson crossing before ?
Be aware you will need to carry the usual offroad gear like deflator, compressor, plus extra fuel and water over normal travel, and have some suitable comms / PLB in case you do get into any strife (even though as mentioned there will be a lot of vehciles around the main tracks).

QAA has some of the larger dunes on that eastern side of the desert, and with increased traffic you will likely find a lot of soft, chewed up dunes due to amount of traffic with the bash, loads of trailers coming / going and of course some running too high a tyre pressures.
Tyre pressures 16 to 18psi would likely be best to go to straight up.

Think about a loop, go out to Poepell, overnight near there, up Hay River Tk to Madigan camp 17, then follow Madigan Line back to camp 22 and down the Eyre Ck bypasss to QAA Line, then back out to BV.

You won't need a Madigan permit, but just advise Adria Downs and check if ok to do the part of the line that runs through their property.
Technically camp 17 is just inside Aborignal traditional land, but not really worth the effort of contacting CLC, at least that's how I feel about inpeeding on there by maybe a km.

That would give you another night camping out there, perhaps at Madigan camp 18 (a huge claypan, and one of my favourite Madigan camps).
If you do camp at 18, that is in QLD Munga-Thirri (Simpson Desert) Nat Pk, so the $5 odd per person camp fee should apply, but then it's not likely you'll see anyone out there, what you do is up to you and how much drama it is to log in to QLD Parks page to pay for a nights bush camp.

Another option, if Warburton X is open, go down K1 Line to come out on the BV Tk a good 200km down from BV, if this suits your travel plans.
This would require a Desert Parks Pass though, looks like this is now $163.20 for 12 months ! So unless you already have this maybe skip it.
