In case any of you question why there is a post review and approval system in place, this is why. And for every account that gets deleted, there are 3 new ones that pop up to take its place. Sorry it can take a while sometimes, but approval is a manual process.

can you limit posts to logged in users, and limit account creation using something like captcha with email verification? standard practice on most sites

Tim, bots are getting smarter and smarter.

This way, despite being labourious, keeps the site clean of junk.
