South Basalt section North from Talbotville has some steep tight turns with poor traction. At least one locker is necessary unless your driving skills are well above average. Don't attempt if wet, unless you are on a suicide mission.
North Basalt section towards Blue Rag Range Track is much easier but can be very rocky in some parts. Trailers not recommended, unless you enjoy difficulties.
Heading south from Blue Rag Range to Talbotville is considerably easier than Heading north from Talbotville.
