Grampians National Park,Camping and 4wding EASY / MEDIUM

Grampians National park, Halls Gap, VIC


Hi Guys,

we are planning to do a trip to grampians on sunday 15th November, we will be camping for a couple of nights.

You are welcome to join us for a day trip or you can camp as well.

there are lots of nice walking tracks, water falls, etc.

We will also be doing some 4wding, the 4wd tracks there are rated Medium and are suitable for people just starting, No special equipments or experience is necessary.

Yes the 4wding is only easy to medium,
Stock tj will be fine.

Thats alright.
I haven't been there for a year but just asked a friend which went there last week and he reckons the tracks are very easy.

went to Grampians cup weekend for first ever 4wd and had fun. Redman Rd/Track (just sth of Lk Bellfield) is a nice easy drive (no need to lower tyres) in the bush. I also did Taylors Trk (off C222) on to Rose Ck Rd and then on to Wallaby Rocks Trk, Asses Ears Rd then back to C222. Wallaby Rocks Trk was a bit challenging for first time, 3/4 places where I was careful to pick the line to avoid any scrapes underneath, but lots of fun and great scenery and I need to do again so I can enjoy it more 2nd time. Park Ranger at Brambuk has current road report with closures, road conditions etc. No water at all, but maybe with latest rain some creeks to cross - Enjoy, Tony

What day / time will you be doing some tracks ?
I live in Stawell ( about 20 minutes from Halls Gap ) and should be able to come out for a drive on any of the days you are there.
